Raw
0 commentsThere is something about the rawness of this room that speaks to me. The concrete walls are very industrial, but it still looks so warm.

A Library Lounge
0 commentsOh, to live surrounded by books - heaven! Yes, I am a book hoarder. Though my collection is by no means large. I still have books at my parents' home several continents away. I will bring them back here as soon as I found the place. But, I will dream on for just a bit longer...

Mix and Match Curtains
0 commentsI don't even think they necessarily have to match! It's very country chic and it means you can have a look at your local charity shops for curtain colours you love.

London 2012 Olympics
0 commentsMaybe I should't be posting this as because the less people know, the better the chances I can get tickets. I live in Stratford, London - Olympics town for 2012. It would be such a shame if I cannot watch the Olympics when it will be right at my doorstep. (Though I know some people are planning to be out of the country during that time to get away from the crowds.)
But if you are interested in watching, you have to register now if you want to be one of the first to find out about ticketing information.
No I'm not telling you the website address :P

0 commentsLiving in a country with great food, and stunning places, is there a need to live in a place like this? This is the garden of my dreams, in the country of my dreams. I'll move in anytime....

Daytime sleepyheads
0 commentsI have always lusted for the white, leather, Barcelona daybeds. But always thought they would be too high maintenance (not to mention expensive, unless you get a knock-off).
But, I realised there are still plenty of options. I think these daybeds are so romantic and cosy that I would be lounging here all day.

Stop, sit, and talk a while
0 commentsWith our hands-free and wireless phones, we never really get the chance to sit and talk. At my grandparents', though they don't have telephone seats, there is always a little nook with a table and a chair for you to make and receive calls.

I love barn doors
0 commentsOnly trouble I had with this is how do you keep the noise and moisture in? Surely there must be a gap between the wall and the barn door as they're not a perfect match. and does it lock?
..and no, I don't think I can use books to prop up vases.

Toast Store in Cheltenham
0 commentsI've only chanced by this shop over at Remodelista. Not exactly somewhere I can just pop into. But I would love to see this shop in person because it doesn't look like a shop.
This is the Toast store in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. So if you're nearby, drop by and let me know if it's as fabulous in person as these pictures.
And I love the photos in the catalogues
...and I was paging through the catalogue, completely ignoring what they were selling.

i think i'm home
0 commentsImages like this makes me feel like I'm home. Cosy and comfortable, someplace where you're forgiven for not putting away things right away or not having to make the bed. And yes, I love toiles!

Made of money
0 commentsI have a bottle-full of 1 and 2-pence coins sitting in the cupboards. I try to use them as much as I can (there are a lot of ?.99 priced items out there).
But here's an idea if you have more than just a bottle-full

If all bottles were this pretty
0 commentsThere is no need for me to make a fortnightly trek to the recycling bin - they'd all be happily displayed in my kitchen shelves.
...and I would be drinking tequila and vodka more often.

Pottery Barn Vintage?
0 commentsNo, these are not vintage pieces, but I can't help looking at them...and wanting to dive into bed with all those scrumptious blankets as my flu lingers on with headaches and a really sore throat. boo!
actually, I think I will dive into bed after this post. But minus the scrumptious blankets :(

Random Images from Desire to Inspire
0 commentsI frequent Desire to Inspire. You'll never want of inspiration there. And I found this...
When I was a little girl, I dream of a garden like this - right in the middle, with the whole house embracing it. Still have no idea how practical something like this would be.
Also found this.
If I ever have a sitting room big enough, I'd throw this in the corner. Because wouldn't it be nice to sit here talking to friends over a cup of tea? Much more cosy than a coffee table.

Button backed tub?
0 commentsOk, it's a decadent room. And many would kill for that kind of space in the bathroom. Well, at least you would not get a concussion should you slip on the marble floors and bang your head on the side of the tub.
But, really, I am a simple girl at heart. This would do.

Liberty of London Selling Up?
0 commentsIt's a very short stroll from Oxford Street, that 'high street' of high streets in London. I have gotten on and off at Oxford Street a million times (as you do when you live in London), but I have been to Liberty just once. I absolutely love the place - for it's architecture and the feeling I get when I'm inside.
But it does feel a bit exclusive, like Harrods, except that LIberty is just character and without the gaudiness. And, still like Harrods, I seriously can't afford anything in there. Well, there was this little antique letter opener, I was drooling on. But after walking past it 5 times, I convinced myself that I am better off hunting for the likes of it in Portobello Road.
Anyway, this is a bit of a sad news, if it is true - Liberty May Sell Tudor-Style Flagship Shop in London’s West End. Makes me feel a bit guilty that I have not been there as often as I would want even though I considered it one of the gems of London.
