grunge up your old bedsheets

I believe in mending and making do. Besides I don't like wasting resources. Littles holes on bedsheets can still be mended and look at this lovely idea from Design Sponge.

Mix and Match Curtains

I don't even think they necessarily have to match! It's very country chic and it means you can have a look at your local charity shops for curtain colours you love.

If all bottles were this pretty

There is no need for me to make a fortnightly trek to the recycling bin - they'd all be happily displayed in my kitchen shelves.
...and I would be drinking tequila and vodka more often.

Organizing idea: corralling clutter

I am quite a fan of Chez Larsson. I love all the whites in her home, the DIYs, but most of all she's got loads of organizing ideas.

Corralling clutter is something I would like to apply more. At the moment, I only have a smoked glass vase in the study corner. Though I wonder if it qualifies as a clutter corrall as most of the stuff in there are pemanent

I organise drawers by re-using plastic takeaway containers. And I use some of these to corrall clutter in the bathroom (but again, they are permanent homes).

I'd like to have one in the kitchen, bedroom, and a catch-all in the entrance. And I love baskets, maybe it's time to look around for pretty baskets.

Vintage music sheets

Finding art to adorn the walls is a tough job. Especially after purchasing the furtniture to adorn the floors.

Truth is, as much as I love going to museums and appreciating the emotions and creativity, I can't justify spending that much money just because something is pretty to look at. Hence, at our previous home, our walls remained quite empty.

Using vintage music sheets is one way I was hoping to adorn the walls of my next future home.

Other people have found plenty of other uses for them too

a very pretty DIY: wineglass + teacups

Just how pretty is that? Next time I break a wine glass (last time was months ago), I'll head out to the nearest charity shop and find myself a pretty teacup. I just don't think this is dishwasher-safe though. I just don't know if I should serve wine or tea in them?

Sewing Machine Tables

I thought this was one of the best shop windows I've ever seen. And I keep thinking, next time they change the shop windows, where would all these go?

I love them. But I have no need for a sewing machine, much less a clunky old one. But they remind me of my grandmother's home. I would play with the pedals and tinker with the tiny drawers (but never got to learn sewing from her).

I love the intricate ironwork. And they would make such lovely tables.

Repurposing a ladder

I think it's wonderful that more and more of us are finding new uses for old things. |I would really like to see more repurposing ideas like this.

I think it's guaranteed to make friends look and stare.

Letterpress Types

I would love to collect and make a framed collage out of wooden letterpress types.

Maybe if there's some phrase I wouldn't mind seeing everyday, I'd make it look something like this (but with different-sized types)

Apple Crates

I do wish I can purchase loads of old apple crates and use it all over the house.

This stained version looks quite elegant

But I still want them in the kitchen to house my root vegetables and garlic and onions.
